Ever meet a guy at the bar and felt
obligated to give them your number to him? Well now you don't have to
worry about them calling you and at the same time get your point
across that your not interested.
The Rejection Hotline is a list of phone numbers with a recorded
message informing the caller that he/she has been rejected by the
person giving him/her the number. This number may be given by persons
who do not wish to give out their real number. Over 300 numbers
currently exist as of July 2007.
The website indicates that the concept of the hotline began in 2001
simply as a joke, and when its popularity grew, the voicemail system
was upgraded to allow more cities across America to host a number
leading to the recording. The hotline was the brainchild of Jeff
Goldblatt, according to the website.
